EXIA can't touch your screen. These six only your hands can run โ every tap reports straight to me.
๐ก EXIA: standing byโฆ
Top: your next steps โ in order, each with a button that takes you to the exact control. Below the line: diagnostics, collected while you work. Hit something confusing? Type it in the note box โ it streams to EXIA automatically, diagnostics attached. No copying, no pasting.
THE BRIDGE. Your personal log above never leaves this device. Below: the crew layer โ ship's log, walkie-talkie comms, ranks. Nobody joins without the Captain's confirmation, and after that, your face is your key.
๐ The Captain enters by face. No typed key in daily life โ a word can leak; a face can't be forwarded. The key below is a one-time bootstrap: used once to register your Face Key, then locked away for good.
๐ GAZE VERIFY. A quick liveness ritual: the camera turns on, an arrow tells you where to look, four looks total.
Starting the cameraโฆ
This is a liveness gaze scan โ it proves a live person performed a random ritual. It is NOT iris recognition and does not identify who you are. The Captain's own eyes make the call.
โณ AWAITING THE CAPTAIN'S CONFIRMATION. Nothing is shared with you yet. This is your BRIDGE BADGE โ the Captain sees the same badge on his manifest, and it proves this request is really yours. Nobody memorizes anything: once he confirms you, your FACE is your key.
Checking every few secondsโฆ
๐ The gaze scan comes later โ once you're in, it's waiting in the Biometric Lab.
Register this device once and the typed keys retire. Face ID / fingerprint unlocks the Bridge โ the biometric never leaves your device; the server keeps only a public key.
Print it, post it, stick it on a board. Anyone who scans it can request to join โ every request still lands on your manifest for confirmation. Scanning is not joining.

Faces you captured at sight-confirm. These photos live ONLY on this device โ no face database, no templates. Their identity lock is their own Face ID on their own phone; this is your visual receipt.
No sight captures yet.
Your hardware link to EXIA. Hold the iPhone Action Button, talk, then go silent โ your words land on EXIA's desk as a voice order, and the phone speaks the close-out so you know the link is down.
Token: checkingโฆ
Your comms token โ shown ONCE. It goes in the Shortcut (step 3 below).
๐ฑ While COMMS is open, the ๐ System Mic is the in-app equivalent of this link โ the Action Button covers the moments when the app isn't open.
Broadcast and your crew's phones pulse faster as you get closer โ and yours does the same for them. Only while you broadcast, only with COMMS open, auto-off in 15 minutes.

The live test behind the Apple brief THE SCREEN IS THE SENSOR: your device proves your face/finger with its built-in biometric (passkey), while the camera reads your finger like a sensor. Nothing is stored, nothing leaves the phone โ this is a demonstration, run it as often as you like.
๐ BIOMETRIC: not run yet.
๐ CAMERA FINGER: not run yet.
๐ GAZE VERIFY โ the gaze ritual, on your own time: four looks on camera, recorded against your crew file for the Captain to see. Auxiliary by design โ joining never waits on it.
How: press RUN โ approve the face/fingerprint prompt โ then cover the camera lens completely with a fingertip and hold still. The graph is your pulse, read live from the red channel โ the camera already IS a finger sensor. Honest note: pulse โ yes, tonight. Ridge-pattern fingerprint matching from a camera โ not reliable on today's phones; that is exactly what the Apple brief asks them to build into the touchscreen.
๐งญ COMPASS โ LIVE (NAV) ยท ๐ฐ GPS โ LIVE (NAV) ยท ๐ ACCEL PACK โ BUILDING (NAV v1.73) ยท ๐ SONAR โ LIVE HERE ยท ๐ฆ LIDAR PACK โ LIVE HERE (PROTOTYPE)
EXPERIMENT โ near-ultrasonic echoes, coarse ranges. Works in total darkness โ it hears, it doesn't see. Built for close quarters, like a dark cockpit: sharpest inside 15 FT, hears out to ~40 FT. Indoors it hears walls; outdoors it mostly hears the street being a street. The chirp (18.5โ21.5 kHz) leaves the speaker and the mic times the echoes โ the audio is analyzed on this phone and never uploaded; only the ranges (numbers) ride telemetry.
No pings yet โ tap ๐ PING and the room answers.
PROTOTYPE / EXPERIMENT โ not true lidar: direct time-of-flight is impossible for a phone camera (light crosses a room in nanoseconds; the camera integrates milliseconds), so this pack measures return brightness per color channel instead. The screen is the emitter: it fires short color bursts (RED โ GREEN โ BLUE โ WHITE) and the camera reads how much of each color comes back versus a dark baseline. Surface color skews any single channel, so the pack corrects with the ratios across channels plus the white return โ brighter return = closer. Output is an ESTIMATE in feet: best indoors in the close band, roughly under 6 FT reliable-ish, usable indications to ~15 FT in the dark. Darkness HELPS this pack โ it carries its own light โ built for close, dark spaces, like a dark cockpit. Frames are measured on this phone and never uploaded, never stored; only the estimate (numbers) rides telemetry.
No sense yet โ aim at a target, tap ๐ฆ SENSE, and the screen flashes its colors.
One job before anything else: register your Face ID as the Captain's Key. Everything else in COMMS waits behind this door โ on purpose.
STEP ONE โ TEXT SIZE, FOR YOUR EYES ๐
Text that answers the distance: take the exam, turn this on, and the words grow as the phone moves away โ anchored to the size your eyes picked.
TEXT SIZE โ 100%
A real eye exam in three short parts โ calibrated like the clinics do it.
Dated statistics snapshots for the Captain's five channels, recorded on the ship's server. EXIA records a new snapshot at each stats pull; this board and its generated report always read the newest one, with trends against the snapshot before it.
